(Has anyone else noticed the word "player" or "iplayer" becoming synonymous
with web-streamed video generally? Like "Hoover" being used for "vacuum
cleaner"? I've heard several people in recent weeks say "I'll watch it on
iPlayer" when the thing they're talking about isn't a BBC programme and the
speaker knew as much, but simply used the word "iPlayer" because it's a
convenient shorthand.)
