Many years ago, my web page on "how to catch mice" was the top hit on
Google for "how to catch mice". The comments on the page became a
discussion forum for the mouse-afflicted.

Now, after digging around inside the Wayback Machine, the mouse page is
back. Closed to new comments, but you can still wade through hundreds of
the old ones if you like. Some people's mousey stories are hilarious.

(Some time later, I got an email from someone who said he'd met a girl,
started a relationship, and arranged to marry - all after meeting her via
the comments on the mouse page.)

Ian Bicking on labs teams and managing people: "I always want there to be
space. Space to discover, space to learn, space to make mistakes, and space
to learn from those mistakes (the space to learn is so often forgotten).
Also space in conversations, and space in meetings. I enjoy long pauses in
conversations or meetings, I think they can be a good sign."
